Ashes Report 4th test Day 2: Smith proves why he belongs to another planet

Much like as 1st test belonged to Smith,  this day of 4th test belongs to him. 1st day ended in a cliffhanger where either side had chances to come back in the game but Smith ensures that Australia is upheld in a very strong position. Being unbeaten on 60 overnight he converted his start as usual to a majestic score. After being dismissed for 211 his side was ridding high on 438 for 8 at the fall of his wicket. Smith along with abled support from the Fifties by Paine and Starc, both of whom had their first big score this series took Aussies to 497-8d and had England on a submission. Although he was given a life when he was caught on slip cordon on 118 and Leach overstepped, Smith stole the show. This simply crossed his heroics in Edgbaston.

After Aussies declare on a mammoth total, their pace trio unleashed them on the English openers. Both English openers we're stuck on the body, thanks to Aussies fierce bowling, they also survived a few inner and outer edges.  But this only lasts a few longer as Cummins was rewarded for his accuracy after Wade took a stunning blinder at Short leg to dismiss Denly. Overton was sent Nighwatchman and he didn't allow any further damage. Tomorrow will be crucial for the hosts to restore their way back into the match. Stay tuned for the 3rd-day updates. Till then, bye-bye.
