Ashes series: 4th test day 3 report: Hazelwood shines bagging 4 wickets

The day began rain showing domination in Manchester as a result of which the entire first session was washed out. After the play resumed Hazelwood removed Overton who came in as a night watchman in very first over. Then Burns and Root took charge and made a fightback statement with their scores of 81 and 71 respectively and took Australia hanging till the tea. Put scoreboard pressure has always been something teams succumbed to. 

 

Australia scripted an amazing turnaround as England decline started as they were reduced to 200/5 from 166/2 at the end of their day.  Half of their team is back in the hut with 98 runs still needed to avoid a follow on. Entire day has just been about turning of tables. Amazing battles of bat and ball between Burns and Root showing redemption in their stand and pace troika bowling cracker of deliveries. Middle-order perished later in the day. Stay tuned for more action the next day
