It’s been reported that on Friday, Harbor Freight Tools recalled around more than a million Gordon folding knives, all because of safety concerns. The locking mechanism on the knives is said to have the probability of failing to engage when extending the blade, which leads to a laceration hazard as said by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
As per the recall notice that was issued, there were a total of about seven reports of the knife failing to lock, which resulted in six laceration injuries. Out of which four of the injuries required medical treatment. It’s been highly advised to stop using the knife and return it to a Harbor Freight Tools store for a $5 store gift card, plus sales tax, as said by the company.
