Flipkart New Features
The company has added a dedicated section to its Flipkart application, and it provides content from players such as Array, Dice Media, TVF and Woot. The company has revealed that initially, it will not offer original content, though it may have had a look at it.
The company has further revealed that the new video service will be available for free to users. In order to use this service, users must download the latest Flipkart application from the Google Play Store (version 6.17). Once the app has been updated to the latest version, one can access the service by going to the hamburger menu in the upper-left corner of the app and clicking on the video section. The app will then ask users to select at least three videos from the list, which will allow users to experience personalized content tailored to their customer needs. The app then shows curated content of movies and TV shows.
The video section also has the option to follow specific channels or artists on all of their latest videos. Then there's my list option that lets users save their favorite shows or movies, and one can share them right from the app. The app allows users to adjust video quality by choosing different methods including Auto, Good, and Data Saver. Playback provides the option to switch to the next section, and there are different buttons for skipping the content 10 seconds ahead or back. Flipkart has also introduced a new Flipkart Idea feature on its e-commerce platform.
