2. Rath Yatra: The Puri Rath Yatra is among the most-awaited Hindu festivals in the month of June. Being celebrated in one of the four ‘Chardham’ pilgrimage spots in the country (Jagannath Temple), the festival is all about the colorful processions of the Hindu deities, placed on chariots (Ratha). The procession starts from Jagannath Temple, carrying idols of Lord Jagannath with his siblings Subhadra and Balabhadra; and later concludes and end up in the Gundicha Temple.
