Delhi University Admission 2020: Probable Date for Registration Process

And those, who have been waiting for the admissions in colleges, their wait is about to be over. One of the most prominent University of India, Delhi University, is going to release its admission date along with the registration date. Because of the coronavirus outbreak engulfing the country, like the other universities, Delhi University’s admission process has already been delayed by over a month or so. From the sources which I have extracted, the registration processes for the admission in Delhi University are most likely to begin from June 20, 2020, and close on July 4 this year, which is really close.

Due to coronavirus, the lockdown is making everything work so slow and so it would affect the whole admission process as well. There was a time when people used to align in the queue when cut-offs used to disclose but now it is expected that the whole process will take place online. Along with that, it is also expected that the cut off lists for various colleges will be disclosed around the end of July or at the beginning of August and the whole process will probably get end by the mid or third week of August so that the sessions could start from September (if a situation like the current is improved). It has been advised to open registrations for a second time only after the declaration of marks by CBSE as mentioned in the amended UGC Exam and Admission Guidelines 2020.

One of the bad news is that in this year’s admission process, Delhi University will skip the Sports trials, and Extra-curricular activities (ECA) admissions but the exceptions will be made for NCC and NSS candidates and no information is given for the ECA student’s Admission. The entire process will remain online for all the candidates be it NCC or the Regular ones.

In an official meeting held back this Tuesday, the Standing Committee on admissions has decided and advised to accept the old caste certificates for the students who hold reservations. Along with that, it was also mentioned that a document accepted through the online procedure will not be rejected later, as long as it isn’t forgotten or fake.
