SEO, Search Engine Optimization is one of the most trending topics in the fields of business marketing and advertising, promotions and search engines. It is a simple process of getting your website on at least the 3rd page of a search engine without spending any additional money. And if you are willing to spend money on this, the better. SEO will become SEM (Search Engine Marketing) which will further ensure your presence on the first few pages of a search engine. SEO falls under the broad category of SEM but holds some of Its' distinct features that help it be distinguished from it. Some of these features are a result of SEO's sub-categories that further simplifies it.

These sub-categories are on-page SEO and off-page SEO.

On-page SEO:-

1. The definition of an on-page SEO from various sources clearly states that the motive of this is to attract organic traffic. It is not paid so it cannot pop in your search result just because you searched for a similar topic.

2. Apart from channeling organic audience to your website, on-page SEO is also about showing the excellent writing you or your writers may posses. All that is needed to be done is a search for keywords that are less in competition and more relevant to your topic of choice. Make sure to use a Keyword in the title itself and also in the headings and sub-headings of your article. It is advisable to put your keywords among the first 100 words.

3. Internal links are also important as they ensure more clicks and views on more of your posts. It is going to be better if instead of listing your other articles' links at the end of an article you shorten the link into the words that will directly lead them there. Wikipedia is a prime example of this.

Off-page SEO:-

One of the most effective off-page SEO methods is link building and it depends solely on the quality of the content on your website. If it is really good, then it is possible that people who read it will mention or even link your specific article in their posts. This will indicate the search engines that your content is of quality which will make your chances of coming in top-ranking higher. You can even use guest blogger for this purpose but they will not help much in organic traffic. Social Media is a popular media and its' power cannot be underestimated. Everything is promoted on it and if your website is one of those, it will certainly help in expansion of it.
